About Lao Ocean

Lao Ocean's owner was born in Laos, so we know our Laos food, but we also love food from other cultures that we bring to the table as well. We want to serve good food that we grew up with and love, and share it with everyone. We want everyone to eat- that's why we offer delicious vegan, vegetarian, gluten free options. We have a bigger menu because we want everyone to have something they can say they absolutely love.

Main foods on the menu are asian fusion (thai, laos, some japanese inspired, some vietnamese inspired) Authentic Laotian salads, Authentic thai stir fry, soups, curries. Japanese teriyaki, ramen, sushi, poke bowls and Vietnamese Noodle soups-pho.

We can make most dishes vegan, gluten free, or vegetarian upon request!

Food was amazing! Service was quick and the servers were so nice! The restaurant looks nice and is very clean. The menu is big but not too high to where you can’t hold it. Nice bold words for easy reading. The flavor was amazing. Some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had! At first you may not see the sushi and might be confused but the sushi has its own special menu! I had the Salmon Don and it was amazing. Other things we had were stuff such as Tom Yum Hot Pot and Papaya Salad (all of which were yummy).

Server helped us navigate the menu and heat levels. Papaya salad was fresh and delicious but the pork rinds were quite unnecessary. The Laap salad was fantastic.

This has been the best thai food I've eaten in Pensacola, and I've tried a few. The spicy basil flavors are robust and their spice levels are true to rank - I like mine too make my nose run but not burn the inside of my mouth so I can no longer eat my food (medium level here πŸ‘). If you're in to dessert, this was the most gorgeous presentation of mango sticky rice I've ever seen - and it tastes as good as it looks! Don't skip on this one!

Oh my goodness, the crab fried rice and Pad Thai were absolutely delicious! This is the first time I’ve ever eaten them without adding any soy sauce or extra seasonings. They suited my palate perfectlyβ€”and my friend's as well. We're actually planning a four-hour drive just to come back and eat at this place again! (lol) By the way, the portions are huge, so make sure to plan accordingly. One serving is easily enough for two peopleβ€”even though my friend and I are pretty big eaters, we still had leftovers that we had to take home

This place was just ok for me. The crab fried rice was pretty good, but the larb was not authentic at all, even the Lao sausage was not authentic, it tasted like fried nem, was abit sour tasting.
